About Me

Hi πŸ‘‹πŸ» I’m Kelsey! I have been interested in fitness and nutrition since I first started playing sports as a teenager. Cross country running was the first sport I excelled at and through gaining that confidence, fitness became a huge part of my life. Since my days of running cross country I have had to push outside of my comfort zone, into a gym and and onto a weight floor. I know what it feels like to climb onto a cardio machine, overlook the weight room and wish I had the courage to use any of the equipment. With the help of other professionals I was able to get myself to a point where I feel super confident in a gym setting and now one of my favourite things to do is to help other people get there too. Weight training is my β€˜sport’ in adulthood, it helps me feel confident and strong, it helps me to comfortably do the things I love like running and hiking, and it gives me a place of solitude which has been especially important as a new parent.

My career path started by pursuing a science degree in Human Nutrition at St. Francis Xavier University(2011-2015). I completed a personal training certification, hired a trainer for myself, and worked in a gym for 2 years when I decided I wanted to go back and complete my Human Kinetics degree(2017-2018). I have been working in the industry ever since. I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Pre and Post Natal Specialist. I have over 10 years of combined education and experience in the health and fitness industry.

When I had my first baby my eyes were opened up to the unique needs of pregnant and postpartum women in the fitness industry. This past year I had my second baby! Now I want to help you be the strongest version of yourself so you can continue doing the things you love and so that you can feel the confidence and strength that fitness can give you.
